School Introduction
Founded in 1960 in Ipoh, Malaysia, the school operates as part of the Tenby Group of schools. Today, it is a large school corporation with six campuses throughout Malaysia, including Setia Eco Park School, established in 2008, which is a fully equipped campus on 20 acres of land, providing an ideal learning environment. In 2018, the school joined the International School Partnership (ISP), which operates more than 60 international schools in 17 countries around the world, and began a new operational structure as an ISP umbrella school.
The school offers a particularly British style of education based on the National Curriculum for England (NCUK: National Curriculum for England). In addition, the school has also introduced the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) to broaden students' international perspectives and provide them with a global education. This curriculum allows students to develop an international understanding, leadership and creativity while building an academic foundation.
The campus is spacious, equipped with state-of-the-art educational facilities, and is committed to both academics and extracurricular activities. Currently, Tenby International School Setia Eco Park has an overall enrollment of approximately 2,000 students, with 1,200 students in the international school and 800 in the private school. Approximately 70% of the International School students are Malaysian, with the remaining 30% being international students. The international school has a multi-national student body, and there is a lot of international interaction within the classes. The teaching staff is also well developed, with approximately 30% being international teachers from the UK and other countries, and the remaining 70% being Malaysian teachers.
