School Introduction
Established in 1965, it is one of the most prestigious and traditional international schools in Malaysia. At first, the school adopted an American-style curriculum, but in order to meet the needs of students aiming to enter universities around the world, the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum was also introduced in the 1980s, and today the school offers both an American-style curriculum and IB curriculum. This allows students to have a wider range of career options.
The school has approximately 1,700 students, 20% of whom are Malaysian and 80% of whom are international students. The diversity of the student body spans more than 60 nationalities, with a particularly large number of students from the United States and many native English speakers. This multinational environment allows students to actively engage in cross-cultural exchanges and broaden their international perspectives.
ISKL is located in an easily accessible location from the center of Kuala Lumpur and offers state-of-the-art educational facilities. Academically, high academic standards are set and students receive an internationally recognized education. In addition, a wide variety of extracurricular activities are offered, including art, music, sports, and social activities, providing many opportunities to develop individual interests and talents outside of academics.
ISKL also aims to equip its graduates with globally relevant skills, fostering communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills. As a result, ISKL graduates have gone on to study at universities around the world and are active in a variety of fields.
