School Introduction
This international school was established in 2014 in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. The school is part of the HELP Corporation, which operates Help University, a prominent private university in Malaysia, and is known for its very high quality of education. The school also offers bilingual classes in English and Chinese, and promotes multicultural and multilingual education.
It is based on a British-style curriculum, particularly in the elementary grades, and incorporates the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), Singapore-style math, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) education. This allows students to develop creative problem-solving skills as well as enhance their overall skills needed in today's society. In addition, students develop a balanced artistic and scientific inquiry in their academic studies, laying the foundation for the next generation of leaders.
The teaching faculty is approximately 50/50 foreign and Malaysian, and the diverse cultural backgrounds of the teachers provide students with a broad range of perspectives. This creates an educational environment with an international perspective. With 80% of the student body being Malaysian and 20% international students, the school provides an international educational environment, especially for families within Malaysia, while still maintaining the importance of their native language and culture.
HELP International School is characterized by a small, home-like environment that allows for close teacher-student contact and individualized support. Each student is supported according to his or her individual personality and learning style, and overall it is a warm, supportive place where students can grow together.
The school's strength lies in its partnership with HELP University, which offers many avenues for advancement to higher education, thus providing students with a future-oriented education. Through bilingual education and an international curriculum, we nurture students to be active on the global stage.
