School Introduction
The school was established in 2006 as Asia Pacific School Smart (APSS), a local private school. Subsequently, in 2012, Asia Pacific International School (APIS) was established as an international school with a British-style curriculum, and has grown to become a high-quality education provider to this day. Furthermore, in 2018, APIS joined the International School Partnership (ISP), which operates 65 international schools in 19 countries around the world, and operates under the ISP umbrella.
Asia Pacific International School offers an education based on a British-style curriculum that develops internationally-minded students. The school emphasizes the development of social, leadership, and creative skills as well as academic pursuits, providing a foundation for students to become future global leaders.
Currently, there are approximately 600 students enrolled in the International School division of Asia Pacific International School, with an additional 1,100 students on the local private "APSS" side. Seventy percent of the students in the international school division are local Malaysians, while the remaining 30% are international students. The international students come from about 30 different countries and include students from India, Korea, England, the United States, Pakistan, and many other countries. The diversity within the school provides students with opportunities for cross-cultural exchange and fosters international understanding and cooperation.
The teaching staff consists of 75% local teachers, with a classroom teacher and an assistant teacher. Teachers provide individualized support for each student, helping them to develop not only academically but also individually.
Beyond academics, Asia Pacific International School also focuses on extracurricular activities, providing an environment in which students can pursue a variety of interests, including sports, art, and music. The entire school aims to provide a balanced focus on both academics and personal growth.
